Upon her return to the field, Harrison resumed her role in the middle of the Tigers' defense as she played in 12 games while starting Pacific's final seven contests. Harrison played a part in four of the Tigers' eight shutouts throughout the season while also getting in on the action in the front as she posted her first career assist when she set up Pacific's game tying goal in its 2-1 loss at Cal State Northridge on October 15.2005 (Sophomore):<br>Improving upon her outstanding first season, Harrison earned her second All-Big West selection, being named to the second team after her sophomore season. For the second consecutive season, Montez played in and started all 20 games. Routinely asked to guard the opposing team's best offensive threat, Harrison helped the Tigers post five shutouts on the year while holding their opponents to just one goal or fewer in 15 of their 20 games. Offensively, Montez took two shots from her defensive position, taking one shot against conference opponents Long Beach State and UC Riverside.2004 (Freshman):<br>A force in the middle of the Tigers' defense, Montez was one of just four players to start all 19 of Pacific's games in 2004. Along with her defensive partners in the backfield, Montez helped the Tigers hold opponents to one goal or fewer in 13 of 19 games, including six shutouts. In addition to her strong defensive play, Harrison was able to give the Tigers some offensive production from the back, netting her first collegiate goal against San Jose State in the Tigers' 4-2 win on Sept. 19. For her play, Montez garnered All-Big West Honorable Mention recognition after her freshman campaign.High School:<br>Montez attended Skyline High School in Oakland, Calif., where she participated in both volleyball and soccer for the Titans. During her four-year varsity career on the soccer field, Montez helped lead the Titans to four consecutive Oakland Athletic League championships and three straight Transbay championships. For her play, Harrison was named her team's MVP in each of her four seasons and the League's MVP during her freshman and senior seasons. In addition, Montez was named all-city first team in all four seasons.Club Team:<br>Harrison played club soccer for the California Northstars and was a state ODP pool player in 2003.Personal:<br>Born in Oakland, Calif., she is the daughter of Joy and John Harrison. Montez has three siblings, Earnestine, Adia and John. She plans to graduate with a degree in sport management.
